I currently have an 8gb SK Hynix 2666 MHz in my HP Probook 450 g7 and I need an upgrade. I was thinking of buying 2 new 8gb 3200 MHz rams but I'm not sure if my laptop supports 3200 MHz. If it doesn't, I would get only one 8gb or 16gb 2666 MHZ ram. I'm not sure how to find out if it supports the speed of 3200 MHz, I looked at the manual and this laptop comes in different versions in which a 3200 MHz ram is supported but I'm not sure my version supports it. What should I do?

If your notebook currently has an 8 GB memory chip, you can probably just buy one of the 8 GB DDR4-3200 memory chips and it should work with the one that HP installed.
DDR4-3200 memory is supported, but it will only run at 2666 MHz because that is as fast as any of the processors offered in the model series can run the memory at.
