I have a HP laptop model 14-bw022na.
Its has 4GB of RAM and I want to upgrade to 8.
The chip has a sticker with a part number of 862397-866.
The pupose is to speed it up, I'm assuming that having more RAM will assist?
Please can you advise what I need to do buy to upgrade?
Many thanks,
Ian

Hi, Ian:
Below is the link to the service manual.
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information.
I believe that the notebooks that come with the AMD A4 processors have one memory slot and the max memory is 1 x 8 GB.
This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:
Another thing you can do is to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" SATA SSD:
