Hi:

Unfortunately, that would not be possible.

HP ENVY X360 - 13-ar0501sa Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

According to the specs, your notebook comes with 8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (onboard) memory.

'Onboard' means the memory is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

Below is the link to the service manual.

If you look at chapter 3, page 18 different motherboards are used in the model series.

Motherboards that come with 16 GB of onboard memory and motherboards that come with 8 GB of onboard memory.

Finally, if you look at chapter 5 of the service manual, you will not find a procedure to remove or replace the memory.

Thank you for your reply,

You mentioned that there are different motherboards that have 16gb of integrated RAM would it be possible to replace my old motherboard with the 16GB RAM  one? and if so how would I go about doing such thing.

Thanks again

You're very welcome.

You can find the list of supported motherboards that come with 16 GB of memory in chapter 3 of the service manual I posted.

There is only one motherboard that came with 16 GB of memory.

Equipped with an AMD Ryzen7-3700U 2.3-GHz (turbo up to 4.0-GHz) processor (2400-MHz FSB, 6-MB L2/L3 cache, quad core, 15 W), 16-GB of system memory, a graphics subsystem with UMA memory, and the Windows 10 operating system
HP part number L53452-601

If you can find one for sale, be prepared to pay a substantial amount of money for the motherboard.

I can't think of a worse return on investment to add another 8 GB of memory.

HP does not sell the motherboard.

I did a cursory search for the part number and found one for sale for $300 USD on Ali Express.
