I purchased an HP notebook from Costco not last Christmas but the one before that. Not two months in I had to ship it off for repair because there was a rattling noise underneath the keyboard. It sounded like a loose part that would trickle from one end to the next when I tilted it side to side. As far as I knew it was fixed, as I hadn't heard anything since. But then, today, for absolutely not reason at all, it started doing it again. I treat this laptop like it's the last on earth because I HATE replacing them. After the last issue, I made sure I didn't bump it, kept it clean AF, etc.
I'm concerned I'm going to have to go through this again, this time, without the warranty.
What's wrong with it, and why the same issue TWICE for no reason.
I used to LOVE HPs, I used them all through school. Then a had a Sony one, before they were discontinued and it lasted for like 10 years, to my surprise. I'm back on HP now, and... seriously?

@Megsam To resolve issues with noisy fans, here's a list of steps,
And I know you've kept it clean, however, it's best to double check the vents to be on a safe side:
- Updating your Notebook computer BIOS
- Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean
- Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat
- Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes
- Selecting power save settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use

Hi,
Thanks for the help. I saw a similar post somewhere and tried those steps.
I ended up taking the bottom off today, and found a little piece of something that had come loose. It was tiny, a half circle thing. Not sure where it came from, but I'm sure it would have made much more noise underneath the keyboard than it looks like it would have.
My computer's working fine otherwise. I keep my efficiency high, and do what I can to keep my processing as efficient as possible. HP does have some great tools to ensure that's convenient for those not super computer savvy, it's just a little disturbing to hear things rattling about underneath there.
I've started looking at some upgraded laptops for the future. If you have any recommendations I'd be more that interested in hearing them. I really just use it for surfing in the evenings, online shopping, etc. - that kind of thing.
Anyways, thanks for the help.
