Hi,

I have faced the same issue with HP Envy x360 (15" Bang and Olfson) . Opened the laptop as normal, but while closing, the hinge was stuck for no apparent reason and also cracked the touch screen.

The laptop is out of warranty.

Please help !!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

HP UK replied with a quotation for repairs of about £280 !!

I find it unacceptable, as the issue with the broken hinges seems to be a design fault which has damaged the touch screen.

Their initial quote of about £152 was only for hing repairs in spite of clearly mentioning that the hinges and the screen both are damaged and supplying photo evidence. Very poor in-team communications.
