Product Name: HP Laptop 14-B5543tu ( purchased in 2016 ).
Product Number: 2DG71PA#AKL
I wish to replace my 500GB HDD ( SATA III ) with a SSD WD Blue 1TB SATA III 2.5 inch.
1. Will this SSD come with the correct connectors?
2. Will this SSD fit snugly or have to use a spacer?
3. Encounter problems when upgrading from 500GB HDD to 1TB SSD?

Below are the answers to your questions:
1. Will this SSD come with the correct connectors?
Yes, you remove the hard drive and use the same hard drive connector for the 2.5" SSD.
2. Will this SSD fit snugly or have to use a spacer?
No spacer should be required. The notebook supports both 9.5 mm and 7.0 mm drives.
See chapter 1, page 3 of the service manual:
3. Encounter problems when upgrading from 500GB HDD to 1TB SSD?
No problems should be encountered. HP offered 1 TB 2.5" drives in the model series.as indicated in chapter 1, page 3 of the service manual.
You will need to reinstall Windows on the new SSD.
