I have a nice computer, in which I had Windows 7 reinstalled. ( don't ask why) I know some things were lost, and I am reinstalling them. I do not have a backlit keyboard, but would like one. How can I do this myself? What will I need, if it is even possible? Can anyone help me, PLEASE.

You just need to replace the keyboard with a backlit one:

Keyboard with backlight (includes backlight cable): For use on all computer models in the United States 681981-001

Service Manual

See p. 57 for instructions. Its a reasonably easy job on that model series.

Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed. Let us know if we can help with reinstallation, too.
