I have the x360 11-ag1xx which has basically the same motherboard and all the same ports and space for a hdd but instead has emmc. But HP have actually disabled the SATA port on the motherboard which I really don't get why.

How about we keep things on track without throwing in the product name and conversation about another notebook?

Both of the notebooks are "Stream" types. Seriously entry level.

It really is not worth upgrading the SATA hard disk to an SSD.

SATA-3 interface type with TLC memory  SSD products will be the only SSD type that will be compatible.

I researched the motherboards they're literally both the same. Thanks.
