I am trying to help my blind son re-enable the Optane H10 module that came in his laptop from the factory. The problem started with "abnormal status reported by RST UEFI driver" and 3F0 errors. All of the system hardware passed all of the UEFI diagnostic tests. The BIOS was reporting an Incomplete Optane Volume with IRST driver 18.0.3.5032 at the time. Information in several Intel documents urged me to unpair the memory from the SSD. This allowed me to restore the image that I made ~20 months ago, but it also made the SSD a non-RAID device. Information in several HP documents state that the memory and SSD can be re-linked by choosing to enable Optane memory in the Advanced section of the BIOS. The AMI BIOS does not have an Advanced section or a SATA option that I can set to RAID. The pictures I've seen in HP documents are not AMI BIOS. I updated it from F.10 to F.17 and the IRST driver to 18.1.1.5201, but still nothing. I've also updated the driver in Windows to 19.2.0.1003. Running the HP Cloud Recovery Tool did not re-enable the RAID either. Other HP documents show enabling Optane in the IRST program, but I can't find that program (despite running SetupRST). It appears that this program has been superseded by the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management app, but that app just tells me that there are no valid disk pairs, presumably because they have to be paired in the BIOS. How can I resolve this issue?

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if the info on this HP link is of help to you...

Thank you Paul. I had found and read that document previously. That's one of the HP documents I was referring to that shows the BIOS setup screen differently. The AMI BIOS on my son's laptop does not look like the one in this document, and it definitely does not have an Advanced tab. I also found numerous tips and tricks to access the hidden/locked Advanced section, but none of them worked. Sometimes I wonder if there's a jumper on the MB to temporarily change like MBs used to have many years ago. I haven't found one though. I neglected to mention in my original post that I also removed, cleaned, and reseated the Optane H10 module.
