Solved!

Realtek PCIE CardReader Blocked Due To Unstability (Code 48)

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion Dv7-6b56nr Entertainment Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My card reader is displaying a code 48 in Device Manager on my Windows 10 clean install. I'm looking for a way to resolve that which probably means finding the correct driver for Windows 10 which has proven to be tough since my laptop came with 7. The readers hardware ID is PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5209&SUBSYS_180B103C&REV_01.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to use the W10 card reader driver directly from Realtek.

Download, unzip and run the setup application from the 1st file listed at the link below...
