Uninstall the Driver Completely:
- Open Device Manager (search for it in the Start menu).
- Expand the "Bluetooth" section, right-click on the Realtek Bluetooth device, and select "Uninstall device".
- Check the box for "Delete the driver software for this device" if prompted, and then restart your laptop.
Download the Latest Driver:
- Visit the HP Support page for your laptop model and download the latest Realtek Bluetooth driver compatible with Windows 11.
- Install the driver manually after downloading it.
Disable Automatic Driver Updates:
- Open the Control Panel and go to System > Advanced system settings > Hardware > Device Installation Settings.
- Select "No (your device might not work as expected)" to prevent Windows from automatically reinstalling the driver.
Run Windows Update Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Run the "Windows Update" troubleshooter to check for any underlying issues.
Check for Conflicting Updates:
- Open Settings > Windows Update > Update history.
- Look for any failed updates related to the Realtek driver and uninstall them if necessary.
Use HP Support Assistant:
- Install and run the HP Support Assistant to ensure all drivers and firmware are up to date.

Hi Hawks_Eye! Thank you for the solution. The uninstall part worked fine. I did not see the need for the rest, since at restart the system downloads and installs the appropriate driver. As far as the continuous message from HP Support Assistant, I had to uninstall and reinstall that HP program to get rid of the repeated flags for updating the driver in question. So far, so good ...
