Can I replace the 320GB 2.5 Hard drive (has Windows 7) with a BX500 240GB SSD 2.5 (has Windows 10) on it? This on a HP Pavilion G4-1215dx computer.. Thanks.

Hi,
There is no SSD slot, however the hard drive is connected via a SATA connector. So, I was able to unplug the hard drive and install a Crucial 240GB SSD BX500 2.5" which I cloned using the free Easeus Todo backup software from the existing hard drive. It actually works fine now after I made several adjustments to the computer, such as updating installed software to current versions, and turning off the internet connection prior to doing the cloning. Thanks for your reply anyway.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
I see you need help in upgrading the SSD, on HP Pavilion g4-1215dx Notebook PC. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 320GB 5400RPM drive installed on the PC.
There is no SSD slot in this computer hence SSD is not an option. However, you can upgrade your current HDD to 750-GB HDD, 5400-rpm (Part number: 644351-001) and 640-GB HDD, 5400-rpm (Part number: 637312-001) for more information on HDD refer to the Maintenance and Service Guide
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
