HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb005no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi.

My laptop screen got damaged and needs to be replaced. It's a 4k screen but I'm thinking of replacing it with a Full HD sceen. I do video editing but 4k is not required. At the same time because of 4k, windows 10 icons are not displayed properly, as well as older software. I think FHD would be more practical. When the laptop came out, there was a FHD version also available. My question is that can I change my screen to FHD and what are the compatible models of the screen that I have to look into? I need a FHD and matte screen. I already disassembled the old screen and the model is B156ZAN02.2

See pages 20 and 21 of the Service Manual here:

There is a 1920 x 1080 (FHD) optional screen but it also uses a different cable so you would need both and the retrofit would be a bit of a chore but would work. There is no part number for the whole hinges up assembly on non-touch models but you might find one on eBay and such parts will usually include the cable.
