Probook 6570b

Hi All,

Not sure if it is the right place, but let me try.

I have Probook 6570b with old HGST, Sata 3 GB/s, HDD Z7K500-500 disk.

I want to purchase SSD disk and replace above.

As you know, we can buy disk with only SATA 3, therefor would it be any problem with replacing SATA 2 with SATA 3?

Did you experience any problem? Shall I purchase some particular disk ?

Thank you in advance

Adam

You're very welcome, Adam.

Usually you should install memory of matching voltages.

I believe, but I cannot 100% guarantee that with 1.35V memory, the memory will run at 1.5V, if that is what the PC requires.

However, 1.5V memory will not run at 1.35V.

So if you can't find a 1.5V PC3-12800 (1600 Mhz) memory chip, you probably would be OK if you bought a 1.35V 1600 MHz memory chip.

Hi, Adam:

The hard drive in your notebook may be SATA II, but the drive controller should be a SATA III controller, because SATA III controllers were introduced with the mobile intel series 6 chipsets and your notebook has a series 7.

Here is the link to the crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook.  They have a list of compatible SSD's.

The MX model series provide a little better performance than the BX series.

Hi Paul,

Thank you, it is clear now.

One more thing.

I have 4GBs of my ddr3 ram memory (default).

When I check the ram in laptop, I get only info it is Adata manufacturer, but nothing more.

On slot, there is info "DDR 3 1.5V".

Will it matter if I purchase DDR3 with 1600 MHz speed and 1.35V?

Thanks in advance

Adam
