3168ngw is the model of the wifi adapter.
It would have nothing to do with how much or what type of memory your notebook can support.
Below is the link to the service manual.
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information:
HP 250 G6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide
The notebooks with the Intel core processors have two memory slots and can support 2 x 8 GB of DDR4 memory.
The notebooks with the Pentium or Celeron processors have one memory slot and can support 1 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.
I suggest you make sure that you absolutely know what model processor your notebook has because DDR3 and DDR4 memory is not interchangeable.
