Replaced my laptop battery with a compatible, HW03XL, user manual for replacement battery instructs settings that I cannot find. Replacement battery calibration instructions starts out: Set power supply option first. I have Windows 11 and do not find "power supply" option in any of settings or control panel.
HP Suppport Assistant provides some guidance re: battery calibration and I have done that guidance twice - e.g. fully charge to 99%-100% leave connected to power adapter for 3 hours; disconnect power adapter, and use battery until PC powered off due to exhaustion of battery. Reconnect power adapter until battery is charged to 100% and "run battery check" in HP Support Assistant.
How many times do I have to do the HP Support Assistant guidance before the replacement battery is calibrated; or do I have a "bad" replacement battery and need to return / exchange it?
