Bit of a strange question but I am looking for a replacement battery for my HP Laptop. Cannot tell the exact model as the stickers have now become illegible but, from what I can see it looks like the battery required is for model TPN-C126 with a 19.5 volt input. However, when I search for a replacement they all seem to have 14.5 volt outputs? Can anyone advise please? Thanks

Hi Fanordi.

As I stated in my original post the labels are now illegible. There are no other identifying labels anywhere on, or inside the laptop, I have never used HP Support Assistant so do I have to download this?

Yes, if you can find your product number you will can to find your battery.

Or if your battery is removable your can to remove them, and check directly his reference on a label "HP spare" or "HP Replace".

I have already removed the battery and there is nothing under there. I'm using my old, faithful Samsung laptop at the moment so will dig out my HP laptop in a bit, download and install HP Support Assistant, and post details as soon as I can. Thanks

It appears that with the information you have given that your notebook is a Pavilion dv9500.

The replacement HP battery part numbers are. 8-cell, 2.55-Ah  HP p/n 446498-001 and p/n 451868-001

Those part numbers come from the illustrated parts list in the following manual.

You can also purchase a battery from an online vendor by using HP Pavilion dv9500 replacement battery as the search terms. See the search I did at eBay.co.uk below this line. The batteries are inexpensive.

I have just installed HP Support Assistant and it shows the following details:

HP Notebook

Serial Number:  [edited]

Product Number: F4B09EA

Hope this helps?

The parts mentioned appear to be 14.5 volts, whereas the details on the remaining part of the sticker on the laptop indicates 19.5 volts. So replacement batteries are only 14.5 volts. Is that correct?

So your PC is an HP 15-ba055sa.

For your battery you have 2 possibilities: a 3 cells 31 Wh, reference 807956-001, and a 4 cells 41 Wh with more autonomy, reference 807957-001.

You can find this better battery here:

Hi everyone

I have received the battery as advised to be a DV9000 but is far too big for my laptop, I think I may be in need of a HS04? Anyone have any further info on this?

Hi, I am sorry but I not understand. You have given to us your product number, is an HP 15-ba055sa, not a dv9000. So I have given to you battery's reference for 15-ba055sa, not for dv9000...
