OMEN by HP - 15-ce018dx

I only got the battery about two or three months ago, and it's only recently that I noticed (or at least chanced to notice) the red indicator on HP Support. And what do I find that not only is the battery reporting a failure, but that despite being plugged in nonstop for at least two weeks, it's at 85%. I think I've heard that constant plug-in can drain the battery's capacity, but I didn't think it could happen THAT quickly.

Main thorn here is what's actually safe to include in this post (e.g. the Failure ID); I'm posting here because for some reason HP Support Assistant thinks my password is incorrect--even though the forums obviously recognize it. I did notice that the failure window lists 0/1000 for cycle count; I'm not sure if I should be seeing at least 1/1000 instead. Design Capacity is listed at 62 WHr, Remaining Capacity at 52 WHr. Current is at 0 mA (well, it SHOULD be dormant while plugged in, I suppose). Main *worry* is whether I have to replace this laptop with a new unit of some sort; 4 years and 9 months is a bit short for how long I wanted to be able to stick with a single machine. (In case it's somehow not noted, Omen HP-15-ce018dx.) I was hoping I could at least wait until official support for Windows 10 ends.

EDIT: After some poking around, I suppose the Failure ID is safe to post here. So... 9BRHXR-93NBGW-MFPW2J-C0BP23 . Also, I missed before that the battery isn't charging at all. So either the battery is faulty, or something is faulty about the laptop's ability to connect with the battery.
