The HP maintenance & service manual lists replacement fan for a HP Pavilion-15cc563-st as part# 926845-001. I ordered and received this fan from the HP Parts Store but it is different then the original fan and does not fit my HP Pavilion-15cc563-st. The label on the original fan identifies its part # as NFB80A05H-003. HP's self service return process won't accept my online data request form but doesn't say why, just to check data and submit again. It ma be because the fan is a non-returnable part according to the packing slip. I can't find a way to call HP about this or chat with a real virtual agent probably because my HP Pavilion-15cc563-st is out of warranty. Has anyone had a similar experience with this replacement fan or with not being able to return a part to the HP Parts Store?

I have asked Moderation staff to help connect you with someone in an appropriate team at HP who can help you with the issue.
I used the HP PartSurfer to find the part number for the fan. The number I found is different than the one your ordered.
HP P/N 927918-001

It might be less hassle to just bite the bullet and just buy the fan on eBay or another online vendor source. See the online vendors I found in the search at the hyperlink below. I just looked at the Maintenance & Service guide. I can understand how you ended up ordering the wrong part. This is why there is a warning on the first page of the manual. The HP PartSurfer is always the best way to source the parts since it is for the specific product number of a notebook. The HP PartSurfer is not generic like the Maintenance and Service guide.

I'm not sure if you work for HP but regardless thanks for the reply. I have already ordered a fan from Amazon. Just for the record, I did try the HP PartSurfer first, spent a good amount of time trying to use, it but had no success. It did not recognize the HP Pavillion-15cc563-st product number. There should be some type of human assistance available at least through an online chat. Thanks again.

I don't work for HP.
If you read a bit about the forum you will gather that HP Experts are forum members and peers.
The majority of HP Experts have expertise in various electronic and IT disciplines.
Some of us are professionals in other fields who have taught ourselves quite a bit about laptop, desktop PC, printers and other devices
The way that the HP PartSurfer works is that you need to get the Product number or ProdID for an HP product to find the product specific parts.
HP Pavillion-15cc563-st is not the product number it is almost the product name. It should be Pavillion 15-cc563st. Arrange it any other way and it doesn't work quite right when using it as a key word.
If you do a search in Google or another search engine, you will find an HP specification document that has as its first item, the product number.
