Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All

really seeking some help here, I have a Spectre x360 - 13-ap0007na with a faulty screen. The code on the back of the screen is unusual  M133NVF3 with a HP PN designation of 918023-N32.

The parts list for this laptop specifies it as part No' L37646-001 - L37650-001 inclusive along with L37651-001, L37905-001, L37906-001 and L37907-001. I can see there's a FHD and a UHN variant but how do I know which is right from the initial data on the back of my screen, data above?

I have had 3 screens from the suppliers each one promising the correct size and fitting and each one unable to fit the connector from the laptop as the screen connector is slightly too small. They have all utilised a standard 30 pin connector type

Specifics; The original screen connection point has an

outer width of 20.4mm

internal width max 17.02mm

The existing connector on the system has a connector (pins) width of 16.3mm

maximum outer width of 18.63mm

At this point I am stumped I have looked on panel look for the details about this current screen and can't see anything useful it lists it as eDP connector which as far as I know is std 30 pin connector which also doesn't fit...

This is how the screen is described in the official specs:

HP Sure View Integrated Privacy Screen 33.8 cm (13.3") diagonal FHD IPS micro-edge WLED-backlit touch screen with Corning® Gorilla® Glass NBT™ (1920 x 1080)

From that description it should be one of these part numbers:

13.3-in, FHD, AntiGlare, Ultra Slim TouchScreen display assembly with privacy filter L37646-001

13.3-in, FHD, AntiGlare, Ultra Slim TouchScreen display assembly with privacy filter L37647-001

I am mostly finding these as a whole hinges up assembly

This is the 40 pin version and apparently you need the 30 pin version:

The 30 pin seems mostly to be used on other brand laptops:

Perhaps you would be best off just getting the whole hinges up assembly.

Cheers, looks like it's the full assembly then. It';s real PIA as the standard 30 pin connector just doesn't fit. Ive never seen a connector quite like this one.

Thanks for your input, I'll keep this thread open and update it as and when I get the correct screen ad let you and others know where to find it

Wow

to say shocking would be an understatement only available from 2 suppliers on the official list and both want over £500 and min 4 week delay and that's just to get it into their warehouse. I can barely put together words to describe that price and behaviour, it's stunning and not in a good way. So much for reducing e-waste eh. My user will just buy a new computer and all of this will just be junk, shame but that's the way it is. Oh and the ebay seller wont ship to UK and I cant find another supplier.
