Replacement screen

I need a replacement screen and I'm wondering if there is a way to buy it from HP directly. My laptop serial number is 5CD42788WB, and the product number is 7K631AV.

I checked the HP replacement parts information for your product, and unfortunately the compatible display assemblies (including HP spare part numbers N67766-001, N70748-001, and N70749-001) are no longer available for purchase directly from HP.

Your remaining options are to:

• Search for one of the above HP spare part numbers through reputable third-party parts suppliers or marketplaces such as eBay.
• Contact a local laptop repair shop, as they may be able to source a compatible replacement display for you.

I would also mention that replacing a laptop display is one of the more challenging hardware repairs. Modern HP notebooks often require removing the display bezel, disconnecting delicate display and webcam cables, and in some models separating an adhesive-mounted panel from the display enclosure. Improper handling can easily damage the replacement panel or other components.

Unless you have prior experience repairing laptops, I strongly recommend having the display replaced by a qualified computer repair technician. They can also verify that the replacement panel is compatible with your specific notebook configuration before installing it.
