Envy x360 15m-bp111dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My daughter killed the hard drive with a magnet, and I’m looking to replace it with an SSD.
Can I just unplug one and plug the other one, or are the connectors different?

Also, it looks that I need a 2.5” drive, is there anything else I should look out for to make sure it will work?

Thanks!

All standard 2.5" HDD/SSD drives for notebooks today use same SATA 3 connectors. The only difference is SSD's are thinner (only 6.5mm or 7mm) than many HDD's.(can be 7mm or 9.5mm or thicker) but your machine supports both (7mm and 9.6mm).
