Omen 15T-ax200
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ordered a replacement battery for my Omen 15T-ax200 laptop from an HP authorized support company. Found a how-to site on disassembling the computer. The tutorial says to remove the 10 perimeter screws (I did) and then use the special tool to separate the computer from the back. I did that but the center of the case is held solid by "something". Is there an 11th screw dead center under the indented spot, or is this being held tight by a really stubborn friction clip? I need some rock solid advice before I proceed as I don't want to force it apart and "brick" the computer.

@ShowDir

Sorry, but we here are NOT HP Tech Support and have no way to walk you through performing any repairs.

That said, I found THIS video and there is nothing in the "center" holding the back onto the case:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ss8HxKD4sI

I was able to find an authorized HP parts supplier that graciously provided me with necessary pages from the service manual for my laptop. Sure enough there are only 10 perimeter screws that need to be removed. After their removal I used HP's recommended tool to gently pry the perimeter of the back from the friction clips. I was able to release the stubborn center ones by gently working around the edge several times, each time increasing the separation between back and computer which caused them to eventually release. Had I not had the manual I probably wouldn't have changed the battery out myself as it certainly does feel like you'll break something while you try to get the center clips to release.
