I have had this HP Laptop for only a year and a half. It is only used within the home for general usage and sits either on a desk or on my lap. It has never been dropped or received anything. I just took it up to open it and the plastic casing that holds the screen became detached at the right-hand side corner, next to the hinge and has split from the front border around the screen up the side. There are now some round circles in the screen.
Surely this cannot be a result of regular use after this short amount of time? Any advice would be welcomed...

I reviewed your post and I understand that the display is cracked on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you contact support and check the available service options for your computer.
Here is how you can get in touch with support.

2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
