Microsoft Windows 11

Hello! Good day.

I have an issue with the SD card reader on my HP pavilion 15.

There are 2 drivers available, an Alcor driver, and a Realtek driver. I fully reinstalled both of them from system files.

Just to be clear: It works on my wife's laptop, the SD card is not faulty.

However, the SD card is not being detected as any storage device at all with the drivers.

With no drivers installed, the SD card kinda shows up.

It shows up as a USB mass storage device;

it also shows up as an empty drive in explorer, which I know it isn't ofcourse. Empty, not as in nothing stored, empty as in there is no drive inserted.

It's as if the SD card isn't in the adapter.

Any help would be appreciated. Have a lovely day! 🙂

**Update**

I uninstalled the Alcor driver, and now the device shows up in my device manager as: USB Mass Storage Device, and Multiple Card Reader USB Device. It shows up as 2 devices. I have the realtek drivers still installed.
