Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP Pavillion laptop, Windows 11 and it isn't reading the SD card that I inserted, plus there isn't an eject button that I've been able to locate

SD card readers do not have eject buttons. 

 

You are supposed to press the properly inserted SD card itself to unlock it.

 

It sure is difficult to help when you don't say exactly which HP product you have.

 

This is a bit like owning a Chevrolet and going to a car parts place and telling them you need a starter for an Chevrolet.

You know the look they would give you, right?
