Hi,
It's really not a good way to shutdown the system and should only be used as a last resort if the machine becomes unresponsive to the usual shutdown/restart procedure.
Your notebook and its operating system just isn't designed to be powered off suddenly - for example, the OS needs to close open files etc and drives don't do well when the power is just cut.
Depending on what's being written to when the power is cut will depend on whether the machine will even boot the next time you turn it on - for example, if core parts of the OS are updating when powered off in this way, you may well be left with a corrupt system which will then require repairing or reinstalling the OS.
Is there a reason you need to shut the machine down in this way?
