Hi, planning to upgrade my laptop to an SSD + HDD hybrid, was wondering what SSD I should get and if it has an M.2 slot. I don't really wanna open it unless I'm sure it has a slot and I can't find relevant information elsewhere. Was eyeing this and wanted to ask if it would be compatible: https://shopee.ph/WD-Green-240GB-M.2-2280-SSD-Internal-Solid-State-Drive-(WDS240G2G0B)-i.107212196.4...

Cheers!

@Gari_Lacuata Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to upgrade the SSD and Hard drive.

Do not worry. I will help you in this matter.

Your laptop has Internal card expansion

  • One M.2 slot for WLAN module
  • One M.2 slot for solid-state drives

So, you can add one M2 SSD.

Your laptop support Dual storage Configuration.

1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm/7.2 mm hard drive + 128 GB SATA, TLC, M.2 solid-state drive

Please refer the following manual (page number 1,2 and chapter 1)

You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

And order it via the HP Parts store: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx?mscssid=&ccode=ZZ&lcode=ZZ

Or alternatively, Contact HP for setting up an order/service via phone support
