Hello!
I have a HP-15-bs154nh
Im planning to upgrade my 1x4Gb ddr3 1600Mhz ram to 2x8Gb ddr3 1600Mhz (693374-005)
the manual says the L04451-001 board supports up to 8 GB, single channel, so i hope this will be no problem for it.
Im also switching my 128Gb m.2 to a WD Blue SN580 1TB M.2, but it doesn't have SATA interface, and im guessing that my MB only has SATA socket, right? so can Silicon Power A55 1TB M.SATA be a good alternative for it?
Also thought to buy a Seagate BarraCuda 2.5" 2TB 128MB SATA3, as i think the board supports for SSD + HDD (?) and as long as its 2.5", it should be okay, right? (it doesn't have HDD right now)
I would like to use ddr4 but i guess its impossible w this, but maybe i can choose a higher speed ram? maybe 2400Mhz?
and i dont know if my Mother board would do dual-channel at all? (i think 2piece of 693374-005 wont do dual-channel)
Thank you if you read this through! 🤠

Hi:
Your notebook has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.
Your notebook's M.2 slot only supports SATA M.2 SSD's not NVMe, so if you want to install a larger capacity SATA M.2 SSD you can do that.
I wouldn't put any money into such an old notebook to try and upgrade the motherboard or add the missing parts to install a 2.5" drive.
Adding a drive will add additional heat and lessen the battery life between charges.
This would be a good performing M.2 SATA SSD to replace the 128 GB drive with:
