Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 15-ay068nr laptop. Can I upgrade hdd to 2.5 inch SATA SSD 500gb or 1TB (e.g. Samsung870 qvo)?

Hi:

 

You can install any 2.5" SATA SSD you want up to 2 TB in your notebook, including the  Samsung 870 qvo.

 

Below is the link to the service manual...

After you replace the drive, you should be able to use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

 

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...
