Hi, on my HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14-ey0000sl drivers page there is the sp150766 ssd firmware update. This update seems to be for western digital SSD, but my notebook's SSD shows up as kioxia KXG80ZNV1T02 in crystaldiskinfo.
Is there any error or is it safe to install?
thanks.

The SSD firmware update file (sp 150766) supports very specific firmware versions: HPS4/HPS4T/HPS2 Rev.A. If firmware version Cristaldiskinfo provides is not the same as one of them, the SSD update is not for your model.

See this link to the release note for the firmware update softpaq and scroll down to 'Devices Supported.' No Kioxia model numbers there.

I would say that the firmware update is not for your model. A wrong firmware update can ruin your Kioxia drive.
BTW, Kioxia and WD are in a joint venture partnership.
