I want to install an SSD in the M2 connector. (HP Notebook Notebook PC - 15-db1040ur). Tell me, what size (width and length) SSD can be installed in this laptop and which connector key (B or M)?

Hi,
The M2 slot in your notebook supports M2 SATA3 SSD and much faster M2 PCIe NVMe SSD. Do not worry about keys as both will fit. The size is 2280. So, the best choice is an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD such as the Samsung 970 Evo Plus or similar. There is no limit to capacity.

On page 47 of service manual you can see the steps to install the drive

It will give an amazing boost to everyday performance.
Hope it helps,
David
