There are few manuals, specially the following one
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05705784.pdf
There is a hit and miss. Because your machine has Single storage configutaion with note [16] but no one can find it
https://support.hp.com/my-en/document/c05820507
Therefore the chance to have M.2 slot is very slim to none. We can ONLY know when opening the machine. The above book shows you how.
Warning : This work is for Authorized Service Provider parts only. Doing it yourself may void warranty if something went wrong due to this upgrade.
Regards.

Hp has not released any Service Videos for the 15-cc600 series yet.
But I think the 15-cc500 series looks just the same.
The 15-cc500 series has an M.2 slot.
Just to make sure you have the M.2 slot remove the Base Enclosure. " Just 5 screws. "
Click on Base Enclosure.

Weird, thought i posted a reply earlier but it didn't go thru.
But i found a posting here about the 15 series on here, someone replied that the 15-cc6xx series took a PCIe NVMe SSD.
Seeing as this is a 15-cc6xx model, then this should take a NVMe M.2 too?
For use only on computer models with model numbers 15-cc1xx and 15-cc6xx:
- 512-GB, 2280, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe), Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) solid-state drive

- 128-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state drive with TLC
