Will also remove the HDD from the system and leave only the SSD in the system to see what happens.

Just spoke with support :

For 15-cc665cl for ssd options he said only following are available...m.2 sata-3 ssds basically.

 

512-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state drive
128-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state drive with TLC
256-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state

 

anyone have any luch with faster options yet?

No.  Decided to return the PCIe and go with SATA (hoping it works).  Concerned that there is no info in the BIOS.  😞
