Hi @VyperRocks,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

For the HP Laptop 17-cn0xxx, you can consider upgrading the storage to enhance performance. This model typically supports SSD upgrades, particularly PCIe, NVMe, M.2 solid-state drives (SSDs).

SSD Upgrade Considerations:

Compatibility: Ensure that the new SSD is a PCIe NVMe M.2 drive, as these are commonly supported in modern HP laptops for fast performance.

Installation: Upgrading an SSD might require you to remove the back panel of the laptop, so ensure you have the necessary tools. Also, ensure that the laptop is powered off and unplugged before you begin the installation.

Data Backup: Before upgrading, make sure to back up your data to avoid any potential data loss.

Warranty: Check your warranty terms,  upgrading the SSD will affect it.

I hope this helps.
