HI my laptop is a intel core i5 8th gen laptop (HP Laptop 15-bs1xx). All i want to know is is their a m.2 slot for a SSD upgrade (for a SATA m.2) Thank you

Hi:
If your notebook has an Intel Core processor, there is a M.2 slot that supports SATA SSD"s only, not NVMe.
If it has a Pentium or Celeron processor, there is no M.2 slot and you would need to replace the 2.5" hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.
