Hi:

The fact that your notebook has an AMD Ryzen processor would mean that the slot supports both SATA and NVMe SSD's.

NVMe SSD's have faster read/write speeds than SATA SSD's have, and I am even more convinced that HP just left your notebook's model series off that list of other models covered by the service manual I posted, in error.

According to this discussion, your notebook does not have a M.2 slot to support a NVMe SSD.

You may want to remove the back cover and have a look, because usually notebooks with the AMD Ryzen processors have M.2 slots that support NVMe SSD's.

There is no service manual for your notebook, but this model series seems pretty much the same to me:

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC

Model numbers:
15-db0xxx, 15-db1xxx, 15g-db0xxx, 15g-db1xxx, 15q-dy0xxx, 15q-dy1xxx, 15z-db000, 15z-db100

It just doesn't list the 15g-dx0xxx model series.
