I want to upgrade my storage from internal hard drive to ssd.
My plan is to use internal slot to place ssd and use DVD drive slot to place internal hard disk.
For that I'm planning to order following parts:
Care Case Optical Bay 2nd Hard Drive Caddy, Universal for 9.5mm CD/DVD Drive Slot (for SSD and HDD)
My question are as follow:
(1) Does above two parts are compatible with the my notebook model pavilion 15-ab522tx?
(2) Does my notebook model have SATA-3 ports in internal hard drive slot?
(3) Some other precautions to take which you can suggest.
(4) As I'm doing this first time I don't have any screwdriver which can work for this. So I request you to provide some details about it. (Optional to answer 🙂 )
Thanks.

Your plan sounds reasonable but why ONLT 120GB, you can upgrade to 1TB
- Yes, you can use 2.5" MX500 or Samsung 860 EVE series too. The 9.5mm caddy is OK
- Yes, it use SATA 3 HDD/SSD
- I normally do: clone od HDD to SSD, swap them and run on SSD for few days or 1 week before put old HDD to caddy to replace ODD
**bleep** lucks
Regards.
