Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

Pavillion X360 touchscreen
Microsoft Windows 11

No OEM battery available. Had an aftermarket battery put. On bootup, get the "Non-HP Battery detected, ..." message.

Tried, three times, to calibrate the battery. No luck. Message still there.

Tried deleting the ACPI option in Device Manager. No luck there.

The laptop is still good, but this is annoying, and no, I don't want to live with it.

How do I make this message go away permanently?

 Hi Leonard_A.

Yes, we are all in the same boat, but some of us are still lucky enough to find original HP batteries. I've read several suggested solutions but the truth is that this message will only go away if your remove the responsible (for it) code from the UEFI firmware. Unfortunately, no one has ever gotten around to modding the BIOS for this (probably cause it's just irritating and nothing more). So only way is to request a BIOS mod, like on this thread......
