Hi Team,
I wanted to install a Sata SDD in my laptop HP 14 EF1002TU. It has a port called CN1700 to attach a Sata SSD I guess. I have got a SSD Connector from Amazon which I am not sure whether it can support it or not. Please if you can check the images attached, and let me know whether the connector is compatible to this port or not? If yes, then we are good or else If you can any recommendations on the connector please let me know.
Thanks,
Ajay S

I am just not going to repeat the same thing over and over.
Find the part with the part number if you want guarantees that it will work.
You can do what you want.
It is your laptop to experiment on.
Just so you know, CN1700 is a reference point name on a system board. It is not a part number.

What is the part number of the part from Amazon?
I am wondering why you are not adding an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD instead.
That would be much simpler.
Without any mounting points, an added SATA HDDE will just flop around in the laptop case.
Why did you not make a photo that shows the entire side of the system board, instead of two images showing the same small portion?

Hi Erico,
As I totally agree on your's point. I have already installed another nvme 2.0 SSD of 1 TB. But just was curious to know that can we installed another sata drive? just to get a additional backup disk or for my personal storage. I have seen a port CN1700 on the motherboard and it has HDD written over there. I had tried to do some research on it, there are few references on the HP community it self. If you search cn1700 you too can get it.
Here is the amazon link, and the pic of the mother board.
Please suggest accordingly.

That does look like the cable, but I base upgrades on part numbers and specifications, not how they look.

I would never purchase a part for a laptop that did not match the part number that an illustrated parts list showed to be compatible with it.
It may work and it may not.
It is your laptop.
You will have to make your own decision on using it, it may be a good decision or a poor one.

Your user's manual (pages 29 and 30) shows installation/removal procedures of a hard drive. It looks like you need two parts: hard drive cable #L23187-001 and bracket #L24490-001.

You can get both parts from this site:
The cable you posted is a 10-pin cable and appears to work. If you want to use it, you just need a bracket.

That part doesn't have the correct part number.
