HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ap000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

I would like to buy a screen replacement for my laptop; however, when I try to buy a new screen assembly, I get stuck with my screen's connector type. Apparently, there are two types of connectors: the 30-pin connector and the 40-pin connector. So, I would like to know which connector my laptop has, to be able to buy the correct screen assembly.

Laptop Model: HP Spectre x360 13t-ap000

Thanks,

Your laptop is a bit of difficult, as you know, when it comes to finding out which parts are installed.

Using the Product number, I arrived at an illustrated parts breakdown and list. It shows a myriad of displays yours could have.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06510393

If you have the ordering documentation or the box it was delivered in there should be a description of the display.

A UHD display will have a resolution of 3840X2168, making it 4K.

A   FHD display has 1920X1080

See the link I provided.

The document shows all of the displays that could have been chosen at the pre-purchase stage  for a (CTO) Configure-To-Order laptop such as yours.

I tried the HP PartSurfer and ran into the same issue.

My own HP Spectre  x360 13t-ap069nd  ProdID 7DR73EA ultrabook has the  FHD LCD display. I chose that when I configured it to purchase.

To verify that, I used the dxdiag  (directX Diagnostic tool) command  and clicked on the display tab. You should do the same. dxdiag

How to invoke the DirectX Diagnostic utility

"From the Windows desktop, press the Windows and R keys to open the Run window. In the Open: field of the Run window, type dxdiag. Click OK or the Enter key to open the DirectX* Diagnostic Tool. If prompted to check if your drivers are digitally signed, click Yes"

That means that any of the FHD BrightView, Ultra Slim TouchScreen display assemblies without Privacy or WWAN in the document I provided earlier will work as replacement LCD displays for my laptop. The FHD displays have 30 pins.  I could order one of them with confidence in the knowledge that it will fit and work as expected.

Mine does not have the privacy filter.

I do hope that this post brings a bit more clarity to your request.

HP Spectre x360 13t-ap000 (CTO) is the generic model series product name.  The product number or system SKU provides the exact hardware configuration information that is needed.

When you provide the specific product number or system SKU, not the generic one, we will be able to help you.

HP has produced and brought to market more than a thousand different models of notebooks and desktop PCs over the years.

It is difficult to help you if we don't know which specific model you own..

Method #1: If the notebook will boot into Windows, you can retrieve your Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key.

Method #2: Press the power button and immediately tap the F10 key to invoke the BIOS. In the Main section, you will find the Product number or Product ID. Post that in your next reply in your thread.

Method #3: Press the power button and immediately tap the F2 key.

Method #4: If powering on is not an option, take a look at the bottom of the laptop for the label with the product name and product number. For a desktop look at the rear for the label.

If your laptop has HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI version 10.3.0.0, there is a System Information section that also has the Product ID? system SKU.
We need that information, along with the installed Operating System information to help you.

Thank you for your prompt response.

My product Number is: 4CJ13AV

Could you please provide me with the compatible spare part number as well?

"My product Number is: 4CJ13AV"

Unfortunately that is not the product number for your laptop. That is still the generic product ID or system SKU.

I happen to own a Spectre  x360 13t-ap0690nd with ProdID 7DR73EA#ABH.

Do you notice that the product name and product number are quite specific and nothing like the generic information you have provided?

I looked on the bottom of my laptop to find that. The system information and Fn+Esc Key methods will provide that as well.

I highly recommend that you do that as well.

Hello!

I really couldn't find anything specific related to the product ID similar to what you have posted; however, here's what I found in system information

Product name : HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ap0xxx

Product number : 4CJ13AV

Serial number : 5CD9469M3N

Software build ID: 18WW21ST601#SABA#DABA

I don't know whether this would help or not, and I don't know how to get additional information.

In the System Information screen, look at the either or ninth line.

You should see System SKU.

That is the same as the ProdID or Product number.

Hi!

I've checked the system SKU, and it turned out to be the same as the Product ID I've already sent (check the attached screenshot).

I don't know if there's anything else that could help 😕

Hello!

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your effort in trying to help. I believe things are a bit clearer now, but I still need to figure a couple more things, if you could help. What's the difference between the "Anti-glare" and "Bright view" displays, and is there a way to determine what type my screen is? Also, the same regarding the "privacy filter" and "WWAN"?

I'm searching for the documentation of my laptop and/or the box, but it's a bit clumsy down here and I can't easily find any of them 🙂

Hey!

I was able to find the link from which I ordered my laptop 4 years ago, the product itself is currently unavailable, but the description of the laptop still exists. Do you think the info available could help in determining the exact compatible part for my screen?
