@abcd123489380, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Screen Flickering on HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Screen flickering on laptops can be caused by several factors ranging from software issues to hardware malfunctions. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve your issue:

Update Graphics Drivers: Since you've already tried updating your graphics drivers, ensure that both the integrated and discrete graphics drivers are updated. Sometimes, a clean installation of the drivers can resolve lingering issues. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website or directly from NVIDIA's website for the GTX 1650.

Check Display Settings: Make sure that the display refresh rate is set correctly. You can adjust this by going to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings, and then check the refresh rate settings.

Test in Safe Mode: Boot your laptop in Safe Mode. If the screen does not flicker in Safe Mode, it might indicate a software issue or a third-party application causing the flickering.

Disable Hardware Acceleration: In some cases, disabling hardware acceleration in applications like browsers can help. For instance, in Google Chrome, go to Settings > Advanced > System and toggle off "Use hardware acceleration when available."

Adjust Power Settings: Sometimes, power settings can cause flickering. Try switching between power plans or adjust the power settings to ensure they are optimized for performance.

Check for OS Updates: Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security and check for updates.

Perform a System Restore: If this issue started recently, a system restore to a point before the flickering began can sometimes resolve the issue.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
