Hi, I've noticed for a while that the hinges on my notebook have been becoming progressively weaker and the screen has started to be a lot looser when sat at my desk, moving when typing. I could hear a rattle inside the casing, and on removing the back cover, found that the plastic housing for the gold nuts which hold the hinge screws have completely disintegrated. The plastic is tiny and very flimsy. I paid a pretty good amount for this laptop, so am quite annoyed. I treat my laptop with a lot of care and it sits on a desk, so this really should not happen.
Has anyone else found this problem with HP laptops?
What can/will HP do to help on this? This really shouldn't be something that I have to pay for to get repaired - the build quality looks to be abysmal despite the otherwsie high spec at time of purchase.
Thanks.
