Spectre X360 15" 2019 model gem cut
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Right long story short, my battery went down on my Spectre X360 15" 2019 Gem Cut machine in less than a year. That for a start wasn't great. So sent it away to Flextronic and got turned around in a day which I thought was outstanding service. Well it came back and the issue was still there, wouldn't take a charge and said blown fuse in the battery. So wasn't too impressed with that even though it said it was tested. So I sent it back to them and again it go turned around in a day. This time the changed the motherboard and this is where my problem begins.

Being a convertible laptop when the screen is turned back on itself it should turn it into tablet mode and its not. I can select tablet mode from the quick menu but still doesn't rotate.

I spent ages on with HP support via WhatsApp but all they seem to be doing is google-ing the problem and coming up with the same webpages I had and have tried. I have been looking in my device manager on my laptop and I am pretty sure that on the laptop that I sent away for repair the first time there were sensors listed in there but I have none on this new motherboard. is that correct?

I have tried updating the wifi drivers (that was told I should try by HP support, not sure how that was meant to help) and done a full factory reset on my laptop and still the same issue.

Can anyone advise?

Hi @TheExpiredBadge

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Appreciate you trying the steps. As re-installing the operating system did not resolve the issue, it is a hardware problem. I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer, they should be able to help.

Have a great day!
