Hi,
I have a HP ENVY 15-J154CA NOTEBOOK PC.
I need a replacement screen.
How do i determine if it requires a 30 or 40 pin connector?
thanks,

It does not have touchscreen, its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04056871
and it uses part # 689690-001 (less pins).
Regards.

Sorry. Thanks for posting back. HP supplies wrong information, you machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04056871
with product number is E0M08UA, But HP Partstore shows E0M08UA is for HP 2000-2C21NR NOTEBOOK PC which is a totally different machine
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=E0M08UA
Your machine has FFD (1920 x 1080) and other machine only has HD screen. Your machine should use
15.6 inch (39.80 cm), BrightView, FHD, LED, non-touchscreen display assembly part # 720552-001
Part is not available at HP PartStore nor Amazon
https://www.amazon.ca/720552-001-Replacement-LAPTOP-Full-HD-Substitute/dp/B00INWSP5O
And yes, it use 40 pins
Regards.
