OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-k0000 (594J5AV)

Hello

I would like to add a second SSD on my laptop, i haven't find info about my model on the net.

Before to open i have to be sure that is available a second slot, if there is do you suggest a SSD with or without heatsink?

(The laptop is still on warranty, do you think could be a problem)

Thanks for help

The service manual is rather vague on the subject.

Chapter 1 does not indicate any support for more than one NVMe SSD.

But if you look at the illustration in chapter 5, page 39, I see a M.2 NVMe SSD location below both fans.

It was my understanding that only the notebooks with the Intel 'HX' processors have two NVMe slots but no 16-k0000 notebook comes with any Intel 'HX' processors, only 'H.'

I recommend that you open up the notebook before buying a second NVMe SSD.

As you can see in the service manual, the drives are installed in a thermal enclosure so you should not buy a drive with a heatsink or it will not fit.
