Product: Pavilion

Hi. Newbie here.

I have a 10 year old Pavilion notebook which I have just tried to get drivers for but when I enter the serial number it takes me to a completely different (and wrong) machine, a Victus.

 

I have checked the serial number using the label, the BIOS and Support Assistant so I know I have the correct one. 

Does anyone know how I go about getting HP to "sort" their database on this machine?

Hi:

 

Sounds like your notebook is more than 10 years old and when that happens there can be duplications of serial numbers because of the way HP issues serial numbers.

What is the product number of your notebook?

 

I'll see if there are drivers for it.


There may not be since HP retires support for consumer PC's that are more than 10 years old.

 

However, some reputable 3rd party driver websites might have the drivers you need for your notebook if HP doesn't.
