Windows Update gives me an "optional" update of Firmware 15.55.0.0.  The HP Support Assistant's "updates" tell me I'm all up to date. Should I install the optional Firmware from Windows Update?  (There HAVE been issues of Windows 10 freezing occasionally over the past few months. Have done all the requisite /scannow and chkdsk tasks to check for issues, and they have been corrected.)

HI@RBinPerson, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps from the document:-

I understand that you're unable to update the BIOS HP Laptop 17z-Ca200  and it needs to download one by one and needs to restart the computer to make sure the Adapter or Charger needs to be connected,

Thanks for replying. Perhaps my question wasn't clear.

I am all up to date with Windows Updates. No problems. However, under "Optional Updates" there is a section for Driver Updates, and beneath that is a link for "Firmware 15.55.0.0."  This is an Optional Update. Should I install it?  Do I need to?

Thanks,

RB
