Product: HP Notebook - 15-da0300tu

I want to upgrade my HP Notebook 15-da0300tu (Intel i5 8th Gen) from DDR4 4 GB RAM to 2x 8 GB RAMs. By default it supports 2400 Mhz RAM. Should I install DDR4 8 GB 3200 MHz RAMs or must use DDR4 8GB 2400 MHz ones only ?

HP Recommended

It is fine to use DDR4-3200 MHz CL22 memory but it will only run at a maximum speed of 2400 MHz because that is as fast as your notebook's Intel® Core™ i5-8250U processor can run the memory at.
