Hello,
My laptop is Victus by HP 16-d1046nt (68P31EA). I'm planning to upgrade the RAM, but currently only one RAM slot is visible in system tools (like Windows Task Manager and CPU-Z).
Tools like CPU-Z report only 1 slot.
However, online sources mention this model might have 2 RAM slots.
The motherboard is N13801-601 (DAG3NAMB8D0).
Is it possible that there are two different motherboard versions for this model — one with a single slot and one with two?
Or is the second slot simply not detected unless a module is installed?
Could you please confirm how many RAM slots this exact model has?
Thank you in advance.

Hp specs for 16-d1000 series indicate your model has two memory slots supporting 32 GB (2x16 GB) DDR5-4800 memory.

If you are interested in the possible max RAM supported for your model, see TzortzisG's comment in the thread below.

Hi!
bahritalha, there is no version of this system that can only house one memory module. Could be a malfunction of one of the RAM slots. CPU-Z doesn't always work as expected and needs to be run as Admin, but windows Task Manager showing slots used 1 of 1 could indicate a problem. You might have to buy a cheap second 8GB module to try and see if two modules will work. It's also possible to swap the original with the other slot. Fortunately -as @tk_srq mentioned by referring to the previous discussion- HP personnel has populated the SMBIOS DMI tables with max memory as 128GB DDR5 RAM, so that means you can use a single 32GB, 48GB or even a 64GB module....
